Beaune, France ~ The area around Beaune, the Côte de Beaune, is known for its Burgundy wines, with Beaune (although lacking a Grand Cru vineyard within the commune) as the hub of the local wine business. Beaune is renown for its annual charity wine auction on behalf of the Hospices de Beaune.
